Description:

This study used a matched treatment design to examine the effects of fifth, sixth and seventh grade students using laptops. Groups were defined as 1:1 and control 5+ computers per class. Observational results revealed 1:1 students used laptops more and writing assessments revealed 1:1 students had substantial and significant advantages over the control group including advantages on problem solving tasks.
